|School District Accounting Advisory Committee|
The School District Accounting Advisory Committee advises the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and State Auditor on school district accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and related matters. The committee meets regularly to discuss matters relating to school district accounting and budgeting practices, as well as topics for consideration in updating the Accounting Manual for Public School Districts in the State of Washington. The committee members serve in an advisory role to the Office of School Apportionment and Financial Services at OSPI as well as the Office of the State Auditor. Learn more about the SDAAC and view the meeting calendar.
WASBO has eight members who participate on the SDAAC. In fulfilling this role, a regular time commitment of approximately one day per month is necessary to prepare/attend meetings and accomplish committee work. Membership terms on the SDAAC are three years.
In December 2019, five of the eight SDAAC position terms will expire. We encourage members to learn more about the SDAAC and to get involved through applying for one of the five upcoming vacancies on the committee. A request for letters of interest for service on the SDAAC will be sent to WASBO membership in September 2019.
