Retirement 410 This course reviews the DRS Transmittal Edit Report and Account Activity Statements. Course participants will understand the relationship between these reports and how to make basic corrections. Introduced in this course are additional investment plans such as Deferred Compensation, 403(b), Roth, VEBA, HSA’s and HRA’s. In this course, participants will also receive information on cash-outs that go to VEBA accounts and review components of new hire and employee retirement packets. This course will also cover employer responsibilities under the IRS for plan administration and plan documents. Participants will conduct unique assignments that will help build their own retirement manual for use after the conclusion of the class specific to the course content. A final exam and research assignments are required for course completion. This course is designed for individuals seeking practical knowledge of retirement principles in Washington State School Districts.
